Good afternoon everyone, sharing a couple of cards with you today from Tonic Studios craft kit 4.The waterfall kit ,what a fabulous kit so many dies to play with, with the waterfall mechanism  or without I  think today is the last day to purchase this kit so head over to Tonic Studios if this kit really appeals  to you. The base of the card is made using DL Layering Die set using the papers from the craft kit 4. The card has been stamped on each layer To the one I love using the stamps from the kit all you need extra is an acrylic block and ink pad.

Apart from the card base  and a little distress ink everything else you need is in the kit.

What I luv about waterfall card is you can have them portrait or landscape and the children luv these cards and even the grown up men in our lives as the men luv a card with movement it keeps them amused for hrs. The layers are stamped with To the best mum in the world using the stamps from the kit.

Dots & Drops Layering Die Sets

Good afternoon everyone,sharing 3 cards with you created with the Dots & Drops frames available on Hochanda .

Materials used :-

Base card stock 280/300 GSM white

Pale lillac/ blue card stock

Craft perfect Bright White

Classic Rose dots and drops die set

Tonic studios Than you Stamp

Black nuvo ink pad

Acrylic block/ platform

Dazzling Blue Glitter drops

The card is A5 in size with mat & layering.

Cut the largest base die in the set in blue card stock then cut the same size in  bright white craft perfect card stock and glue the two layers together with wet glue and do the same with the next size down in the set once the glue has dried cut the centre out of each frame.

Place the largest frame in the centre of the card and then apply foam pads to the reverse the two smaller frames are set to each side joining in the center, cut the small centre die out in a smooth white card stock and stamp the sentiment in black ink then place this sentiment  in the centre with 3D foam pads.

 With hot glue add a bow and then to the centre of the bow is a handmade flower using a tonic punch ,punch about 6 flowers and pinch each petal and shape with Tonic Studios  foam pad for shaping flowers, off set each layer until your happy with the result then add to the bow with hot glue then carefully place the Dazzling Blue  glitter drops where indicated on the die cut.

The card base is created cutting two plain base die shapes and forming a hinge on the back panel of the card for the front to adhere  to then cut the same die again in craft perfect Pistachio green  and then add the detail  then in the centre of that layer you need to cut the Paisley  detail die into the card this glues flat with wet glue to the base card

Now cut the next layer in the Ribbon & Bow set and cut the larger detail out with the patterned Paisley die then add 3D foams to the reverse and place on the card then lastly adding the stamped greeting to the centre of the card.

The flowers are cut from the Kaleidoscope  box and you need 3 flowers for each Bunched flower shaping on a sponge mat and adding Tim Holtz spun sugar to colour each petal with a Nuvo sponge applicator  once they are shaped you can add these to the card with hot glue  or nuvo deluxe adhesive then start adding the crystal bbubblegum  drops to the card and finally add a decorative bow to finish.

The card is a 5" x 7 " card blank with mat & layers

You need to cut into the middle of the white mat layer in the second size down just using the detail Die. Now cut the largest die in the set in  Ocean Blue    craft perfect and also white craft perfect and cut the detail out of the  ocean blue layer this is then glued flat to the white  base and once dry cut the centre out to make a frame  this is then added to the card using 3D foam pads now repeat the same with the smaller frame but cut the detail out of the white layer but turn the frame the opposite way.

Cut the Thank you Sentiment in Ocean Blue craft perfect and silver mirror  card and slightly off set to create a slight shadow and glue flat to the centre of the base frame.

Now add the decorative bow & gem and to finish add the bright white crystal drops & Caribbean Ocean drops.

Dots & drops Christmas themed cards

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog,today I would like share with you a couple of cards i created with Tonic Studios Dots & Drops frames die set currently available as a week day wonder on Hochanda.

Materials used :-

The card was created using  a large DL shaped card using 300gsm card stock for the base and having open as a tent fold.

The Garden gate is cut 3 times in the royal blue card stock for the backing and then die cutting 3 in white stamping card stock only adding the detail to one of the frames as the two outer frames are left plain for the stamped images to be stamped and coloured.

Stamp the greeting with the  Nuvo red ink pad by applying the sentiment to the stamping platform and gently tapping the stamp with the ink pad once  stamped if you would prefer a stronger colour you can then apply more ink to the sentiment and stamp over the first image stamp this is the added bonus of using the stamping platform. Then glue the sentiment to the base layer with wet glue.

Now stamp festive friends and colour with Nuvo Alcohol pens  once these are coloured fix to the blue backing,add the mat & layers to the card attach a length of red ribbon before sticking to the card then add 3D foam pads to each frame and place on the card and then add the red Berry drops to the frames ,attach the bow with hot glue once the frames are dry I would always leave Nuvo drops to dry over night before posting just to be sure they are completely set.

The card is created die cutting 2 base panels in white 280/300gsm and scoring the back panel about 1" deep right across then glueing the front panel this gives you your shaped card from the swirling frame die set.Cut the same size again in craft perfect woodland green card stock and then die cut the detail, this is then glued flat to the card base.

Now cut the paisley drop detail die in white craft perfect and cut the detail out of this layer you will also need to cut the plain layer for this in cherry red craft perfect card stock and glue both together using wet glue.

Now cut the mat & layers in red.gold.and then from your stash die cut a xmas themed topper to Co-Ordinate with the card then add the topper to the card on 3D foam pads.

Add light gold drops around the frame but you will see in the pattern a leaf design the fern green drops have been added to those areas .then to finish the card add a gold bow and a nuvo poinsettia .

Classic Roses

Good afternoon everyone ,well Tonic Studios have a brand new launch today Dots and drops frames on Hochanda, so I better show you what I have been up to.

Materials Used :-

The card base is a large card 10"x7" created from A3 card stock 300gsm

Then the mat layer is cut from cherry red craft perfect .

You need to cut the base of the Ornate frame out in white craft perfect and also the next layer down in the same card stock but you will be placing the classic rose detail Die into the centre  of this die  as  you want to cut into the card you  don't want to cut out of the card stock on this layer.

 Now in the next layer cut the plain panel in Cherry red and then cut the same die again in bright white and then cut the rose detail out of the white layer glue these together with wet glue leave to dry and once dry cut though both layers with the smaller middle die this will now give you a frame ,place 3D foam pads to the back of the frame and place onto the larger oval panel  this also needs 3D foam underneath to add depth and dimension to the card.

Now the small die cut for the centre will need to be stamped with the seasons greetings stamp from the festive friends set ,ink the stamp taking the ink pad to your stamp with gentle tapping cover the stamp with Nuvo Black Shadow ink and then press firmly on the card to get an even stamped image bearing in mind if you are lucky enough to have the Tim Holtz stamping platform if your first attempt isn't stamped out evenly you can go back ink the stamp once again and stamp over the first impression. If you haven't got the TH stamping platform I would highly recommend it  makes life so much easier and they are available all over the trade now at very good affordable prices.

 Once all the layers are place on the card it's now time to add the nuvo drops  bottle green has a beautiful pearl shimmer to it if your not confident in placing the drops next to each other do every other drop and when they are dry then fill in where you have missed, it stops them merging together if you are not confident. To finish the card add a saving & organza  ribbon and a little rose gem .

Hibiscus Sunset

Good morningood everyone sharing a couple of cards with you today from Tonic Studios Silhouette  Hibiscus Sunset Die set.

Materials used :-

Silhouette  - Hibiscus sunset  die

The card was created with mat and layers and forming a frame to go around the main sunset die cut using the basic square layering die sets The card blank is 8x8 .

 First cut the sunset die in black craft perfect and emboss as there is a beautiful floral detail to this die then glue this to the water colour card now with the Aqua flow pens I added the colour to a glass mat and picked up the colours with a water brush started the darker areas first gradually going to lighter shades and once finished added a little Nuvo Glimmer  to certain areas.

The large flower bottom right I die cut the scene again and snipped out the flower with scissors and backed on another piece of water colour card and coloured with the Aqua flows as before then shaped the flower a little and placed back on the main die cut with foam pads just to add a little depth and dimension.

To finish the card Will's  hand was die cut in Fuschia Pink craft perfect and white craft perfect and placed on the card and then the bright white nuvo drops were added 3 to the top and 3 to the bottom.

Silhouette Hibiscus Sunset Die set 

The card base  was created cutting cutting two the same size and placing a score line across the back panel this created the hinge for the front panel to stick to so you can create shaped card bases then cut the next layers with the same die in white card stock to make a frame for the Hibiscus Sunset  to sit.

Cut the Hibiscus  Sunset out in black craft perfect and emboss the detail .

Now add a little gold Nuvo mousse to the raised embossed area within the die cut just apply this with your finger.

Now you will need to cut a piece of double sided sticky to the same size as your die cut  peel one side of the backing off and with the gold flakes cover half of the sheet in a straight line then carefully rub the remaining flakes off and back in the pot then with the other half spread the copper flakes and again rub the excess off.

Now place the die cut on top with wet adhesive and place on  the frame to the card.

Don't forget to keep the little bird when you cut the die as you can now add that back in at the end and then finish off adding the Nuvo drops to each side of the card.

The card is 8"x8" in white 300gsm card with mat and layers create a wide frame using the basic square layering die sets.

Choose a suitable inky background for this card I chose a paper pad from my stash that had different inky papers.

Then die cut the Silhouette Hibiscus Sunset  in bright white craft perfect and apply wet glue to the reverse and stick down on top of the patterned paper then cut the detail Die out again in pistachio green and then paper piece the green foliage  back into the scene and then cut the detail out in the orange craft perfect and again paper piece the flowers adding a little wet glue to the area you are placing the card back into the scene.

Die cut the bird in Oyster grey and place it back into the scene.

Finish the card by adding Will's hand enjoy with the case die cut in orange craft perfect and the top layer in orange craft perfect then finish the card adding pumpkin nuvo drops.

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog ,today I am sharing a couple of cards created for Tonic Studios  using the Silhouette  die sets - Babies,Bunting,,Balloons & Bunnies such a  cute die .

Materials used :-

Base card stock 280gsm

Basic scalloped and straight edge oval layering dies

This card is created from a card stock 280gsm and it's just a matter of score lines really then a little mat and layering you will need a score board or a scoring tool on a paper trimmer and you will be scoring on the short side mark with a pencil at 1 1/2" score at 3" ,4 1/2",7 1/2", 9" and mark at 10 1/2" then down each side mark at 3 1/2" then with a ruler mark from the 3 1/2" at the side to the 1 1/2" mark at the top do this on each corner and trim the corners off  you will also need to put some extra score lines in as can be seen bin the photos  below to show.

This is what it should look like with all the score lines in place you just need to trim the corners off.

Score lines go across at an angle from top 1 1/2" down to 4 1/2" and again back the other way and repeat at the oposite end.

You can have the card fold this way or the opposite it's up to you

This just gives you another style of card

The card then has some mats added in pinks glued flat to so the card will fold up I wouldn't use anything more than a 280gm card as it will have a tenancy of cracking along the fold lines, once all the score lines are in place you need to go over all the folds with a bone folder to achieve a lovely clean crisp finish.

The baby outfit is cut in Blossom pink craft perfect for the base layer and then the detail Die is cut with bright white craft perfect card then cut the detail out in the fuchsia pink craft perfect card stock and snip the detail  out and layer on top of the white detail layer you will then need to die cut the bunny with Grey card stock snip out and back the bunny on a darker  grey card and cut free hand with scissors this is then added to the white detail layer.

Then add the New Baby sentiment to one side and the clouds and balloons to the opposite  side and finish the card with a pink Organza bow and pink and white  craft perfect striped bakers twine and add the little dummy I am sure that this card would stand out on the mantlepiece  and be a true keepsake.

The card was created cutting two the same size from the Bowscale die set and then scoring about 1" deep across this will be the back of the card this is forming a hinge for the front panel to adhere  to then it's just a matter of cutting different sizes in different co-ordinating colours.

The sew pretty die is cut in white craft perfect and with a blue fine liner pen add the faux  stitching around the edge , next cut the next layer in Kraft card these are added to the card with 3D foam pads now cut the babygrow  using the outer edge die in white craft perfect and then with the detail Die you need to draw around the die with a pencil on polka dot paper and cut out free hand then by eye you need to chop off the bottom part of the babygrow to look like a T shirt but make sure the white base is slightly longer than the polka dot layer so you have a fine border and also trim off the baby's feet each side then cut a small scallop oval for the centre of the T,shirt

Now you will need to die cut the detail part of the die and snip with the scissors to cut out the bunny and the balloons  the bunny is then glued to a piece of chocolate brown card stock and trimmed with scissors you need to cut two Balloons with Kraft card and back on white card and again trim with scissors this is then glued to the oval then with the balloons you trimmed off earlier they need to be backed with blue card stock and trimmed free hand and placed at the top of the card and then adding the cherish sentiment to the bottom of the card in cornflower blue Craft perfect and bright white craft perfect.

Good evening everyone,So tonight i am sharing a couple of cards with you from Tonic Studios Silhouette  die sets.

The card is made from A4 card stock in cream and you place the card on a score board so your scoring down the short edge and score at  1",2",3",4" flip the card and score again as previously.  Then you just need to add strips of black card to each section with a slight border.

This then looks like a DL card when folded flat but spring up to look very Dimensional  then cut the hearts strip in red and gold mirror card and slightly off set to create a slight shadow and glue to each outer edge of the card.

Now the base of the heart is cut from paper from my stash and then the detail Die is cut from gold mirror card and black craft perfect these are glued together with a slight shadow you will then need to cut the detail Die again in red card stock and paper piece the unberella and  rose. 

The heart is placed on the card with 3D foam pads and with the Glimmer Aqua flow pens you will need to go over the rose and unberella just to add a hint of shimmer. To finish the card you need to add a small bow to the heart and add the cherish sentiment from Will's Hand in gold mirror card and cream card again with a slight drop shadow.

The card is 8"x 8" with mat and layering in silver mirror card and bright white craft perfect the white craft perfect has been embossed with Tonic Studios Anna below embossing folder then with the Fanciful Florals set you will need to die cut 4 in white card and 4 in silver these are glued flat with wet glue with a slight drop shadow  and just placed on the card to look like one giant corner die

Now die cut the heart with Grey craft perfect card and then cut the detail Die in silver mirror craft perfect and bright white craft perfect these are clued flat with wet glue with a slight drop shadow and carefully snip away the unberella  with scissors the heart is then placed on the card and to finish the card add the banner die set and stamp the banner with the congratulations stamp that comes with the  banner die and heat with a heat gun using nuvo clear ink pad and nuvo silver embossing powder  and add a decorative bow and heart charm.

Baby Boy

Good afternoon everyone, welcome to my blog ,Today I am sharing a cute baby boy card created using Tonic Studios Silhouette  babies balloons, Bunting and bunnies die set which is adorable.

 Materials used to create this card:-

Craft perfect- cornflower blue

Craft perfect - Bright white

craft perfect- kraft card

Craft perfect -  french blue

White A3 300gsm base card stock

Nuvo natural Twine

Basic layering & scallop circle dies

Hole punch

Essentials Baby boy sentiment

Basic square layering die sets

The card base is just A3 white card stock 300gsm scored in half trimmed down the the width you want the card and then measure in each side from the top how much you want to trim the corners off but try and measure it so that both sides are even.

Then die  cutting the square layers in cornflower blue,kraft card & bright white  for your layers glue the top white layer flat to the Kraft card then add foam tape to the reverse and stick this to the blue base layer then add foam tape again to the blue layer and place on the card.

Now with a fine liner pen go all the way around the white top layer and free hand add faux stitching  just to draw the eye in towards the focal point. To the top of the card you need to add the circle die cuts so score each circle in half and glue the two circles together with wet glue once dry place over the top of the card and with a good hole punch, punch a hole right through the circles and the card now thread the natural Twine through and tie a bow this has also  had the Faux stitching added around the edge of the white circle. 

Now we are ready to cut the baby grow out in cornflower blue for the outer base die then with the inner detail Die cut out with white craft perfect glue these flat with wet glue now cut the detail Die out again in French  blue craft perfect and with a pair of scissors snip off carefully the booties,dummy,star,mitten and balloon.

Then cut the same die cut again in Kraft perfect card stock and snip the bunny out then back it with a darker brown and cut around free hand with scissors just for a finishing touch I added white and black nuvo drops for his eyes and a little satin bow around the neck before sticking the outer layer down make sure you back the balloons with Kraft card.

To finish the card add the baby & boy sentiment  these are two different sentiment sets the baby is from the New Baby die set and the Boy is from another baby boy die set just a little snipping required.

Simple type Attraction upper & lower case

The card base is created using the Ribbons and bows die set cutting two of the largest outer layers and scoring the back piece to create a hinge on the back part of the card this is then glued to the front panel giving you the beautiful shaped card base. You will need to cut the same size again in the pistachio craft perfect card and then add the next layer and add the detail to the die cut this is then added to the card front base.

To create the two  baby grows  you will need to cut the largest outer die in pink and one in blue,you will need to snip off the balloons each side then draw around the inner detail Die with a pencil on patterned baby themed papers and cut out free hand with scissors. This is then glued flat to the larger base so you have a lovely contrasting border around the patterned paper.

The baby grows then had mini decorative buttons applied with a hot glue gun.

Then the finishing touches were added using the Banner Die Set Hooray and then adding twins from the Alphabet die set - simple type attraction upper & lower case.

Absolutely adorable die sets perfect for card making ,scrapbooking, box making for baby gifts the list is endless.

Good morning everyone,Today I would like to share a card with you  from Tonic Studios brand new Silhouette die sets launched last night on Hochanda with lots of shows for today although stock is flying out, i am not surprised as they are fabulous dies and something a little different.

Materials needed to create  this card :-

These are the 3 different Silhouette dies in the collection .

The card base is made cutting two of the outside edge from the Twisting Veranda die  and then putting a score line in the top half of the card about 1" deep right across the card and then placing wet delux nuvo glue onto the tab and then place the front section of the card to this it will give you a few seconds to grab but it's a very good strong adhesive. Then you need to cut the same die again in craft perfect Teal card stock  and cut into this layer with the next size down with the detail Die this is then glued to the front of your card base.

The Hibiscus Sunset is cut of of Jet Black craft perfect card stock and placed on a piece of white stamping card this layer was cut using the  basic square layering die sets  making sure you have a lovely white border and then you need to cut another layer  in jet black so that once it has been coloured  it can be fixed to the card using 3D foam pads.

 Once the black die cut is stuck to the stamping card it's time to start colouring I must admit I have used both Aqua flows and Nuvo Alcohol  pens with this card.

I started out with the Ocean

I placed the darker blue on my glass cutting mat and picked up the colour with a water brush going from dark to light once this section was coloured I went over the blue ocean part with the Aqua shimmer pen. I then worked my way up the scene with a strong orange Alcohol  pen and then gradually went with lighter orange tones and blended them in. All the green foliage  and flowers were coloured with Nuvo Alcohol  pens with the flowers having a touch of shimmer pen added.

 Then to finish off the card a sentiment was added from Will's Hand Sentiments -Dream and then white nuvo drops added just to finish.

Anniversary Gifts

Good afternoon everyone, hope everyone is well and ready for the weekend, I have been playing with my blog the last few days and given it a bit of a face lift .Today I am sharing a card I created for a gift with a matching gift box all created with Tonic Studios Die Sets.

The card is 8" x 8" using most of the Victorian Layers adding foam pads to different layers to get depth & dimension to the card and adding Happy Anniversary to the centre with a slight drop shadow, the flowers were created using Foamiran in white, coloured with Gelatos and a damp baby wipe and then using an iron to heat the Foamiran and then Twisting and shaping the petals until you happy with the shape then threaded the stamen embellishments through the middle of each flower and then using a hot glue gun place on the card.

The box is just slightly larger than 8" x 8" using a score board allow an extra   1" depth all the way around obviously the lid needs to be a fraction bigger than the base to achieve a nice flush finish you will need to cut the centre of the box out with a ruler and craft knife then using the construction accitate to cover the inside of the box using red liner tape .The box is then decorated in Tonic Studios -Tiara corner dies set die cutting two layers one in bright white craft perfect and one in Ocean Blue craft perfect card stock and slightly creating a  drop shadow these are then placed on each corner with Tonic Studios Deluxe glue.

The Kaleidoscope box is the largest die sets in the set and the base of the box is made with 300gsm white card stock and all the decorative panels are created using the craft perfect Ocean Blue and Bright white craft perfect card stock.first of all you want to make the base up then cutting the side panels these are all glued together using wet deluxe  glue as it allows a little wriggle time before its stuck for good absolutely perfect for Dimensional projects as well as card making.once all the side panels are glued together and dry you need to add a little glue to the inside of the base side panels and you  want to bend the panel in on the crease like a half moon aline the crease from the side score lines to the base and then run your hand around the inside of the box .now your ready to create the lid so again like the base but this time where the glue flaps close flush like the base the lid you just want to glue just shy of the score line this allows your lid to be placed without struggling to fit it. Now it's up to you how you wish to decorate it,I have just chosen Ocean Blue and Bright white for this box and card  but it could be for any occasion  and colour you wish, I'm thinking this Kaleidoscope box would look stunning for Xmas with Tartan papers panels and then add a reindeer die flying around the box .

To finish the box I added the gorgeous rolled flowers cutting out 31 and using a quilting tool just rolled them up let them expand a little then with hot glue glued them shut and then glued them to the lid with more hot glue.
