Susan's Garden Die Collection Inspirational Mini Hop

Good morning everyone, and welcome to my blog, today I am part of a blog hop with my very good   friends from Tonic Studios, my first ever blog hop so I am very nervous about it but will give anything a go.
Today I am sharing the stunning die sets from Susan Tireney  cockburn- Susan's Garden and I have to say they are the most realistic flowers I have ever seen in papercraft form.So for the blog hop I  decided to wrap some Christmas gifts  and thought why not add the Christmas rose( Helleoborous) to my gifts and a sprig of Holly from the holly and berries set so this is what I created.

To add the sheen to the leaves Nuvo Crystal Glaze ,a small amount was added to each leaf and then spread out with a little paint brush and within 20 minutes  it was dry.

Ideally you do need ball stylus tools and a foam mat , Tonic Studios have a great flower shaping kit with a variety of tools included.

The berries were added to both sides of the die cut so I would recommend batch making these as you will need them to dry over night before doing the opposite side it takes time but definitely worth the wait.

The flowers were shaped using a ball tool and cupping the petals , then with a pair of tweezers you just need to ben the edge of the backwards with a slight curve , this really gives the flower lots of dimension.
The entre of each Christmas rose (Helleoborous) has the yellow pollen added  just to create a real feel for the flower.
