Good afternoon everyone, blimey it's gone cold in Cheshire the past couple of days we actually had the heating on for the first time since March so it must be getting cold.
Well I have been very busy prepping for up coming launches all I can say is your going to love what's coming I have had great fun playing and making up samples for Tonic and speaking of Tonic kit no 2 . I have finally had a wee bit of time last night to put this box together using the dies & stamps from the kit and also using the card stock with a couple of extra red sheets of craft perfect from my stash and what a fabulous kit it is so any of you lucky enough to get the kit before it ended well done beautiful dies as always but stunning stamps, the card stock I could have just kept stroking it as red is my favourite colour so this kit was right up my street.
This is the box I put together so easy to do and to decorate you will need a heat gun as I have heat embossed with the stamps with Nuvo gold embossing powder coloured with the Nuvo green pens in your kit. The box is made from A3 card stock you want to score on the short side and score at 5 1/2" & 11" & 11 1/4" this forms a clue tab , flip the card 90 degrees and score at 6 1/2 " all the way along you need to repeat this step again and cut up each fold line that is the bottom of your box and then glue the 2x pieces of card together with wet glue. Now your ready to cut the largest square layering die set from Tonic Studios basic layering sets this is glued flat to the base of the box just to add more strength to the box and also leave a neat finish to the box.
The inside of the box of the base & lid have also been lined with red card stock cut from the basic square layering dies. The lid card stock measures 7 1/2" square and scored at 1" on all 4 sides then snip a little triangle from each corner up to the core line these then need wet glue to make a good strong box
.
Now it's time to decorate, the red base layers of card stock measures 5" Square and the gold layer is 4 3/4" square .the gold layer for the sides are die cut with just the detail Die so you are cutting into the card all the detail from the die once you have done all 4 panels you then need to ink up the corner stamp with Nuvo clear ink pad and heat emboss with Nuvo gold embossing powder to all 4 corners on all 4 panels once they are heat set leave them to cool down before colouring the detail then apply foam pads and attach to the red base layer.then the next base layer going down in size is cut from the gold mirri card and the top layer with the detail is that stunning red glitter card and then finally cutting the top layer with the pearlescent gold card and again you need to stamp the seasons greetings sentiment again using the clear ink pad and add gold embossing powder heat with the heat gun. All these top layers were glued with hot glue onto the glitter card.
The lid has a wide silk ribbon attached using red liner tape then adding a decorative matching bow and 3 gold berries from my crafty stash. The lid is decorated to match using the card stock from the kit.
And there you have a good size beautiful Xmas gift box that definitely will have the Wow factor for anyone receiving it.
