Sparkle & Shine

Good afternoon crafters , We have a long weekender from Tonic Studios starting today on create and craft with the fabulous Celebration die collection and also  Nuvo Sparkle Dust-12 x fantastic shades of ultra fine Nuvo glitters there like silk to touch I havn't seen any glitters as fine as these before and I'm not a huge glitter person but these as we say here in Cheshire are lush there great to work with the sparkle is wonderful until you touch it ,it's hard for me to explain how it feels to touch.

Dies used:-
Swirling frames- large Layering Dies
Sparkle & Shine sentiments
Nuvo Sparkle Dust-Paradise Blue-Cosmo Berry & Raspberry Blue

The card shape was made with A4 card stock folded in half with the edge of the die slightly over hanging the spine of the card and run through the die cutting machine release the die and then score the front of the card in half again this is to form the easel for your card I then used the same die to make the shaped card to cut the top part of the card I did this in blue card to match the base card and then cut the same shape in white 240 GSM card and then cut the detail into this die cut to achieve the beautiful lace around the edge .
I then put a piece of double sided sticky sheets to a piece of card  then cut a smaller die cut in the set  once I did this I peeled off the sticky back and sprinkled  3 different  colours of the glitter and rubbed it all into the sticky sheets this glitter can be put into a new bag or pot so you have made your own shade don't waste a drop,I also did the same with the senments used double sided sticky sheets made my own glittered sentiments ,the base layer of the easel I used a purple mirri card just to add a different texture and all the colours matched  the Cosmo Berry sparkle dust.

Thank you for visiting my blog today be sure to visit again over the weekend as I have plenty to share with you all

Ribbons & Bows

Good afternoon everyone, well we have a brand new exciting Tonic Studios launch on create and craft Friday 16th sepember  at 4pm with the lovely Paula.

The launch of the gorgeous Large Layering Die Sets Ribbon & Bow and also swirling Frame.

The card I am sharing with you today is from the Ribbon & Bow die set
Dies used:-
Large layering Die Set - Ribbon & Bow
It's your big day- chalkboard collection
Frond Finesse  die
Tonic Small flower punch

I started the card by cutting the largest die in the set and folding it in half cutting just a small amount off the bottom part of the card at the back so the card has a stable bottom to sit without falling over, I then went down in the sizes in different coloured card stock the next layer in white and Aqua are glued flat using Tonic's funky glue I then made a frame using the next layer and used 3D foam to add dimension to the card I finished the card by adding a sentiment  cutting it out twice to create a shadow again this gives the card depth and dimension the flowers are from a tonic punch in my stash  and I punched 6 of the flowers to create little roses and added those to the beautiful florush which is one of my favourites

Thank you for taking a peek

Until next time

You're a star

Good morning everyone, it's already a very warm morning here in Cheshire the sun is shining, the card I'm sharing with you today is from Tonic Studios Launch of the Glimmer Paste & Stencil Sets available from create and craft.

Layered Hexagon Stencil set
Sapphire  Blue -Glimmer paste

Square layering die sets
You're a star sentiment die

The card is 8"x8" with Matt and layering in kraft card & a gorgeous blue I created a frame using the basic square layering die sets and used the              stencil onto the kraft card and then stuck that flat under the frame it  just gives a stunning background I then added the star layering die and layered with kraft card ,gold mirri  and the beautiful blue card stock  i then put a small hole into the star and top of the frame and added a couple of jump rings so the star has movement on the card and with the stencil having the stars in it I just thought your a star sentiment was a perfect match ideal to send to anyone but perfect for any of the men in our lives I then finished with nuvo drops.

Merry Christmas

Good morning crafters, exciting new launch on create and craft this morning brought to you from Tonic Studit's  the release of the glitter paste & Stencil Sets  these were fabulous to work with such beautiful designs in the stencils and such a gorgeous collection of colours in the glitter paste
Materials used:-
Blue topaz Glitter paste
Falling Diamonds stencil
Merry Christmas banner & stamps die
Rococo- penguin die set

The card is 8"x 8" the second I saw this stencil set it screamed to me icicles  and then I thought of this cute little character so bringing back the other dies you may have in your collection and then also using the merry Christmas banner sentiment that was a free gift from create and craft not that long ago,

I taped down  a peace  of accitate and then placed my stencil over the top  you can then stick the stencil down with  either low tack scotch tape or masking tape I actually used some washi tape as it's cheap to use i then placed some of the glitter paste at the top of my stencil and with a pallet knife I dragged the paste down trying to keep it to a minimum amount of times you drag it down so the paste doesn't spread under the stencil I have to say it didn't do this once in all the samples I made but I tried not to over work the product, once I had covered the stencil I carefully scraped the excess paste off and put the remaining glitter paste back in the jar for future use, I then carefully removed the masking tape and put the stencil in a bowl of soapy water and I washed it straight away as it sets quickly I then placed the accitate to dry after a couple of hrs it was dry so then I could put the card together the accitate has a half inch score line each side and it wraps around a piece of card that is the same depth but in length it's and inch shorter than the accitate this is so we can get the bow effect to the accitate it's also been stuck with the red liner tape to make sure it stays stuck before I stuck the accitate down I created my little penguin and added some little white balls to look like he's been playing in the snow and finished the card with the Christmas banner die & stamps set and a decorative bow.

Thank you for visiting my blog today be sure to pop back very soon as I have more cards to share with you .
