DL Christmas Box

Good afternoon everyone, welcome to my blog, Today I am sharing a box I created with the stunning Tonic Studios DL Layering Die Sets that are currently a weekend wonder on Hochanda.so I will plod on and give you all the information you need to create the main structure of the box.

The base of the box you will need 2x A4 sheets of 280/300gsm card using a score board you need to score at 3 1/2",7",10 1/2",11 1/8" then turn the card to put the score line in for the base at 7 1/8" it should look like the photo below.

Now with the second piece of A4 card score at 3 1/2" and 4 1/8" trim off the excess then score the base like before at 7 1/8" photo below to show what it should look like.
I used red liner tape to stick this box together photo below is what it should look like when the 2x parts are stuck together 4 panels the same size a a glue tab.

Make sure you crease all the folds with a bone folder just to leave a lovely clean crisp finish.

7th die down in size from your Tonic Basic Square layering dies is used to cover the outside base of your box then the 6th size down was cut in white to add to the inside of the box just for added strength  and to leave a lovely neat finish.
The lid is 5 1/2" square scored at 1" on all 4 sides again I cut the 6th size down in the square layering dies and added it to the inside of the lid in red card just to have it all matching. This lid is a very snug fit I don't like floppy lids so it worked for me you might want to change it slightly.

The red mats for inside the box are 6 3/4" x 3 1/4" and then it's just up to you to decoration, could be baby, birthday just a special gift or Xmas it's completely up to you.

Hope these measurements help any problems leave a comment here or message me on FB not a problem
