This afternoon I would like to share a card with you created using the brand new Diamond Hybrid ink pads,these ink pads come in beautiful colours and a high quality felt pad which contains highly pigmented colours plenty of choice in the range these are mini ink pads full of colour.There are 4 sets with 3 ink pads in each set. The names of the sets are :- Tropical Fruits,Sea Siren , Sunset Serenade and Rose Garden.
Materials used :-
Hybrid ink pads -laguna Bay & Polar Ice from the Sea Siren set
Floral flowers from craft kit 5

Diamond basic layering die sets
Greek temple die set
Nuvo glitter drops - Aquatic Mist
Tonic Stencil - Beveled diamonds
Craft perfect - Ocean Blue
Craft perfect - bright white
Craft perfect smooth card stock
The card base is 8x8 with mat and layers, a frame was created using the Greek temple die set and the stencil was placed over white smooth craft perfect card you will need a masking tape to hold it in place or repositinable spray and start by adding the Laguna Bay hybrid ink to your glass mat and pick the colour up with your sponge applicators and you need to work quickly as these are hybrid inks and not distress inks but start dark at the bottom and blend lighter towards the top once finished remove the mask it will be dry more or less straight away with no need to dry it with a heat gun.
Now add this to your card then add the frame now you are ready to add a sentiment to the centre placed on 2x diamond basic layers just to lift the sentiment off the card. I like cards with lots of dimension but if you were concerned about postage you could glue everything flat and not add 3D foam pads it's your card and the choice is yours.
To finish the card each opposite corner has some flowers applied all shaped on the Tonic Studios flower forming mat and ball tools, the edges of the leaves were distressed with the same ink- Laguna Bay with a blending sponge and then they were arranged on the card and stuck down with hot glue and to bring all the matching colours together the centre of the flowers had Glitter drops applied - Aquatic Mist.

as you can see the right hand side has a grid under the removable media mat and this is a great place to see your colour palette it could be ink pads , Nuvo Aqua flows ,glitter pens or paints with it being white you can really see your colours properly and mix your colours in each square if it dries and it's a project your doing that's going to take some time just apply water and away you go again.
Also with the new media mat you have very clear measuring from the centre out which for me is going to be very useful my eyes see the markings on this media mat so much clearer.
This is just to share the colours of the hybrid inks but also to show you that all your other mini inks you all have stashed away will be so easy to use with this media mat your mini distressed pads using them on the glass grid and picking up the colour with a water brush and mixing your own colours.
