Elegant Columns

Hello, welcome to my blog, new launch this morning from Tonic studios sew pretty 2, I absolutely loved playing with this collection on its own and also mixing it with sew pretty 1.
The shows started with a 2 hr show with our lovely Jodie Johnson with a 4 day deal I predict it won't last 4 days as many of you have been ordering it this weekend you are very cleaver crafters
Today's card features the new sew pretty range  Elegant Columns and also a previous sew pretty die set Home sweet Home

 Dies used:-
 Sew pretty 2 -Elegant columns
Sew pretty 1- Home Sweet Home

The card is 8"x8" scored in half and then the front panel  scored in half again I went for a clotted cream card stock and a rich deep wine the elegant columns are hand stitched with a cream embroidery thread very easy to stitch and don't take long to do although these dies look lovely faux stitched or left  as they are cut I then added the Home sweet Home from the first collection just to  show they all mix and match I think that's what Tonic is so good at making sure all our older dies will go with the new so your always adding a new lease of life to your collection.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today

Until next time

Twisted Veranda

Good afternoon,A card to share with you from Tonic's most recent launch my word the stock flew out but you are cleaver crafters as both die sets are gorgeous and are starting to arrive on your door step as we speak

Dies used:-
Twisted Veranda Layering Die Sets
Minature moments sentiments Best Wishes

A very simple but pretty easel  card ideal to send to anyone I just stuck with white and apple green a favourite colour of mine at the moment the base of the card was made with A3 card stock folded in half and placing the die so the top of the die just slightly over hangs the spine of the card stock then once cut I fold the front of the card in half this forms part of the easel I then cut the same shape again just with one piece of card stock this will be lined up to match the base shape by putting adhesive on the bottom piece of card stock you creased you will then need to cut a shape for the bottom of the inside of the card and mount with foam pads this is going to be your stopper so the card can sit properly without falling, I then added some layers to this card and also embossed the white card layer added a polka dot bow and finished by adding best wishes sentiment and Apple nuvo drops

Awesome DAD

Good afternoon, A card to share with you from Tonic's most recent launches ,I absolutely luv this die set such a lovely shape and so many different ways of using it and a great die set for both men and women ,like many of you men's cards can be a little challenging at times but this die set for me is just perfect.

Minature moment Awesome sentiment'stamp
Garland Faure- Decorative Bunting Die Set
Duo Cap Initials-Clarinet

Very simple cards to make but makes a statement ideal for father's day, birthdays or just to let your dad know he's very much appreciated .
The card shape is cut using a plain base shape and cutting out twice and creating a score line on what will be your back of the card that way the card sits well and then it's just a case of layering with coordinatting card stock this card stock was a lovely deep gold and I also used a little gold mirri card  the bunting is going to be so useful for all sorts of things ideal for scrapbook aswell, the clarice  alphabet is perfect for this bunting.

Tiny Treasure outfit

Good afternoon, I so enjoyed making this card from scratch I can be a tight crafter at times I like to figure things out for myself I don't buy templates and anyone that knows me knows I am useless with technology so I don't do downloads either so back to basics pencil paper ruler and a large rubber heehee

Dies used:
Oval layering set
Square stitch die & emboss set
Rococo Dummy
Minature moments Tiny Treasure sentiment
Rococo Adorable Elephants die set
The card shape is made from A3 card stock so the top of the dungarees  are at the fold I will add a template at the end of the post I decorated the dungarees with the dummy in the pocket and added the gorgeous sentiment- Tiny Treasure to the oval layering die cut again the sentiment has been cut twice and glued  slightly off set to create depth and dimension the decorative buttons are from the   square stitch die & emboss set  I then added faux stitching with a white  gel pen to the edge of the dungarees and to the pockets.

This is the inside of the card a check pattern  shirt and I added the Adorable elephants to the oval layering dies the elephant are coloured with pastel chalks

My template to follow below any problems just ask away
Made with A3 card stock with the top of the straps on the hinge then I drew out
the shape and cut both layers of card stock with scissors
Template of the T' shirt made out of A4 card stock

Hope you have as much fun making this as I did

Until next time

Rococo baby collection

Good morning , well I have spent the week decorating but thankfully I can see light at the end of the tunnel yay so more time to play and you certainly will not be short of ideas with this collection of dies I have had so much fun with these I have 2 very simple cards to share with you today

Dies used:
 Rococo Adorable Elephants
Rococo Baby Balloons

The card is very simple 5"x7" I rounded the corners with a punch and then embossed the white layer I wrapped a stitched pink ribbon around the white layer of card stock I then cut the adorable elephants in dark and light grey and slightly off set to create a shadow I tied some candy striped string to the trunk of the adorable elephant die cut to the baby balloons the balloons were also cut twice in grey and pink and again slightly off set I then cut the balloons out again in a deeper pink and placed the pink letters for baby inside the lighter pink layer makes the balloons pop to finish the card I added pink nuvo drops.

The second card I would like to share is so cute I luv this rubber ducky

Dies used:
It' seems the little things Flip Flop Die Set
Rococo Rubber Ducky die set
Minature moments New Baby Sentiment die set

The card base is made from A4 card stock measure half way and place the flip flap die half way over the half way mark on you card but only put your cutting plates halfway across your die as you only want to cut through half of your card stock you then cut the flip flap in white and then blue and glue together i then add the blue gingham paper and stick to the card base then i added the flip flap topper and place over your cut I then added the blue ribbon around the card and glued under the bow to hide the join then added a matching bow.
The rubber ducky I cut out in a pale lemon and then cut out in a darker shade of yellow and glued together I then cut the rubber duck out again in orange and paper pieced the neck line beak then stuck down on foam pads ,the new baby sentiment was cut out in orange ,yellow and blue and paper pieced the letters and to finish I added nuvo drops

Until next time

Vintage royal carriage

Good morning,I have a card to share with you today from Tonic Studios Rococo Baby launch- long weekender on create and craft.
Dies used:
Rococo Royal carriage
Oval layering die set
Entwining trellis Plush peony
Finesse Floral Frond die set

The card is 8" x 8" in cream card stock I went over the edges of the card with tea dye & antique linen from tim holtz I then cut my layers and distressed the edges of the card stock by ripping and tearing the edges and running the scissors over the edge to get a really rough finish and again went round the edges with distressed inks
I really wanted this card to look old and vintage I then cut layers of card stock with the oval layering die set and  cut the royal carriage in a olive green and a dusky pale pink and slightly off set to create depth and dimension and then added the nuvo drops to the centre of the wheels.
To finish the card I layered the flowers on top of the finesse floral fond and added nuvo drops to the centre and finished with a matching bow.
Dies used:
Oval layering die set
Nursery Mobile
Minature Moments Special Delivery sentiment

I added a pop out inside the card this was made with a 12"x12" piece of paper or thin card stock folding the paper in half opening it out and folding in half in the other direction so you end up with a crease mark from top to bottom & left to right you then unfold the card and fold your card stock point to point always using a bone folder to burnish your folds to get a nice crisp finish you then unfold and fold the opposite point to point the card will then pinch in at the sides so you end up with a smaller triangle you then place the triangle with the longer points to your left and right you then take the left point and bring to the middle and crease you then bring the right edge to the middle and crease you then flip over and do the same on the opposite side ,with me so far phew now unfold each corner and push inwards and crease it should fall into place easily do this on each point on both sides you should then have your pop out ready to sick into the card don't stick to the spine stick adhesive down the sides of the pop up that way when you open the card it opens with the card I distressed the card with antique linen ink so it matched the vintage theme I was looking for I then added the oval layering dies and then  added nursery mobile die cut and the gorgeous  special delivery sentiment from the Minature moment die set
I hope you managed to follow my instructions but if the pop out doesn't make sense get in touch and maybe I could do a picture tutorial step by step on how to achieve this

Rococo Rocking Horse easel card

Good afternoon, Well tonight we see the new launch from Tonic Studios Rococo Baby & Minature moments Baby Sentiments launch on create and craft at 8pm with jodie I have to say I so enjoyed playing with this collection I had a hard job stopping , I made made more cards than were needed I just couldnt help myself ,

DIES USED:
Rococo rocking horse die set
Minature moments little princess sentiment die set
Oval layering die set
Celtic circles layering set
Scalloped circle layering die set
Circle layering die set

The card is created using the celtic circles die set on A3 card stock to create the easel card shape, to create the baby's bib I used the largest scalloped circle in the scalloped layering set and then cut a smaller layer with the plain circle layering set and embossed the top layer I then used a smaller circle layering die to cut the neck shape into the circle to form  the bib shape, I then had some lace in my crafty stash and glued it around the back of the bib and ruffled the edges .

The rococo rocking horse is cut in grey card stock and then white and glued slightly off set to create a shadow effect I then did the same with the little princess sentiment and glued that flat to the oval die cut  layers and mounted with foam tape so it acts like a stopper for your easel card I then finished the card with white nuvo drops and a dainty pink bow

Thank you for taking time to visit my blog be sure to take another peek over the coming days as I have more cards to share with you all

Until next time
