Dear Santa xx

Good morning  and welcome to my blog, Today I am sharing a card with you from Tonic Studios pick of the week  Build  Wreath Die Collection available on create and craft

Dies used :-
Rococo Fern leaf
Rococo- Round Bauble
Rococo - Teardrop Bauble
Dear Santa Sentiment

The card is an 8"x 8" and for this card I was just thinking of a large present wrapped in a big bow I stuck with very traditional colours for this card with the rich dark reds- greens & golds the patterned paper is from an old Boofle christmas paperpack, the fern leaf I cut in bright lime green but then distressed it with Tim holtz inks the card was a little fibrous  so the finished fern looks a little like velvet and then  cut it out twice  in a darker green and shadowed,  I cut a strip of red card to go down the centre of the card to look like a gift box that's been wrapped in ribbon  ,I cut the baubles out one in red and one in mat gold card stock and then backed them with  opposite  colours and attached some fine red ribbon to the top of the bauble and stuck it  down with  3d foam pads so they look like there hanging down and then I attached a large bown to the top and finished with one of our dear santa sentiment .

Thank you for popping by today

See you soon

Simply Just For You

Good afternoon,  A card I want to share with you from Tonic Studios Basic Layering Die Sets, I think as a crafter you definitely  need your core basic shapes and then build on your collection from there I have to say I would be lost without the basic shapes as that's usually where I start from when planning a card

Dies Used -:
Essentials - mixed Edge Rectangles Layering Die Sets
A4 Embossing folder  Martha
12x12 forever moment papers & sentiment topper pack
Tonic - scalloped Arc Border Punch
Tonic - Flower Head Punch

The card is 8"x 8" with the front of the card scored in half again back on its self I created a frame with the basic Rectangle layering set and then placed the sentiment Topper from the Forever moments paper pack in side so it looked like a little picture frame  and then a added a little bow for decoration and I also made a hand made rose in cream card stock using the  tonic flower head punch, the inside of the card I added an embossed  background  then punched out a border with the scalloped Arc  and then put a length of ribbon down one edge I finished the card using the light gold pearl nuvo drops down the border.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today
Hope to see you again soon

Good afternoon, Welcome to my blog today, I have been playing with the beautiful Marquee box die  from Tonic Studios ,I have to say I absolutely love this box it has so many uses and sizes if you play around with it, today's box I had a baby gift in mind and of course if your lucky enough to to have the ever so cute Rococo Baby dies then you can dulplocate a box like this, inside is a matching baby hat but you could also put little booties inside  or something for a christening gift and make it in silver and white the choice is up to you.
Dies used -
Dimensions - Graceful Marquee Die Set
Rococo -Baby Die set

Very simple box to put together you just need to cut 2 of the main shapes all the crease lines are there for you all you need is some wet glue or the very strong red liner tape a little bit of ribbon or twine to close the box and your away.
The dimensions of the box when made are :- Height 5cm-Width 8 cm - & Depth 5.5cm,
So looking forward to seeing what everyone makes when they arrive on the door step I'm thinking tool boxes, picnic hampers endless ideas.

Stratford and Avon

Good afternoon , Something a little different to share with you now, as you know I normally make cards and some 3d things but today I have the stratFord and Avon mdf creative pen storage unit from Tonic Studios it was launched yesterday on create and craft with the lovely Jo Austin.

So very easy to put together even for someone like me who hasn't done many mdf units in the past .
I firstly  painted the unit in nuvo matt Adhesive glue as a sealer then I painted the areas that were not going to be covered in papers but I made sure I didn't put any paint on the tabs that slot together as they swell when painted and it's then difficult to slot together  i painted in the nuvo mushroom colour Acrylic paint when it was dry I started assembling parts of the unit ,to cover the unit with papers I then drew around the side panels and shelf parts and then cut with scissors any bits that didn't fit perfect I just sanded back once the unit was covered with decorative papers I sealed with the nuvo matt Adhesive again to seal it all and make it hard wearing  and finished with ribbon and bows and some die cuts for a little extra decoration.

Thank you for taking the time to visit today

Fallen leaves

Good afternoon everyone, And welcome to my blog today, I have another card to share with you from Tonic Studios Autumn Wishes Die collection ,hope you managed to catch some shows over the weekend with our jo & Dawny.
Dies used :-
Autumn Wishes - Fallen Leaves
Square layering die set
 Idyllic Garland fancy-Friends Forever die
Tonic Simplicity bunch- Gothic Border

The card is 8"x8" easel card with Matt and layering the background I used a selection of Tim Holtz distressed inks Spiced Marmalade- Dried Marigold-Festive Berries, just randomly  rubbed into  the card stock blending the colours together and then spritzing the card stock lightly with water and dabbing off the excess with kitchen towel.
The leaves were cut out of 4 squares using the square layering die sets and then keeping the negative from the die cut to create a little more interest to the card the leaves I cut out of kraft card and spritzed the card stock with a little water to soften the card so I could scrunch it up to give it more of a natural leaf shape  and then  inked with Tim Holtz tea dye and some Dried Marigold and rubbed the edge of the leaves with nuvo copper mousse.
The Forever Friends  die i cut a piece of the inked card and with a black fine liner  pen I filled in the debossed  letters to make it stand out then finished the card with the gothic border on foam pads to form the stopper for the card to stand up and added nuvo drops for the final decoration.

Thank you for visiting today

See you all soon
